Dr. Holmes is a board certified surgeon specializing in the treatment of breast cancer. A graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine, the University of California San Francisco-East Bay Residency, and the University of Southern California Breast Fellowship Program, Dr. Holmes now practices at the University of Southern California Kenneth Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles, California. But don’t be misled by Dr. Holmes’ youthful appearance, Dr. Holmes possesses the experience, maturity, and vision to hold several distinguished positions that recognize his national leadership in the breast cancer treatment and research community. Currently, Dr. Holmes is the Director of Intraoperative Radiotherapy and the Chief Breast Surgeon for the USC Kenneth Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Los Angeles County Medical Center. In addition to providing cutting-edge breast cancer care, Dr. Holmes plays a central role in training future breast surgeons as Co-Director of the USC-Hoag Breast Fellowship Program, Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the USC Keck School of Medicine, and Instructor in the American Society of Breast Diseases School of Oncoplastic Surgery. Dr. Holmes is also actively involved in breast cancer research and serves as principal investigator, co-investigator or collaborator on multiple studies seeking to improve breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
