Background:
Paul Michael McFadden, M.D. is Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Keck School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree and received his general surgery training at Tulane University. He completed his thoracic surgery training at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans in 1981 and joined the Palo Alto Medical Clinic where he became head of Cardiothoracic Surgery and practiced at Stanford University Hospital.
Dr. McFadden returned to the Ochsner Clinic in 1991, where he was appointed Program Director for Thoracic Surgical and Surgical Director of Lung Transplantation in the section of cardiothoracic surgery. He held an appointment as Clinical Professor of Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine from 1991 to 2006. Dr. McFadden joined the USC faculty in 2006.
